Dr. Alejandra Vela is a native Texan from Laredo, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2010 with a degree in Nutritional Sciences. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in 2017.

Dr. Vela is no stranger to the dental world. Her father, now retired, was a beloved dentist in the Laredo area for many years. She is currently a member of several professional organizations, including the Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Dallas County Dental Society. She loves providing quality care for her patients and is looking forward to getting to know our wonderful patients and friends.

While she loves many aspects of dentistry, she is especially passionate about treating temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD). Her mother suffered from this for many years. That fact, as well as other experiences led her to pursue her certification in filler treatment for TMD and Frontline TMJ and Orofacial Pain Therapy. She is looking forward to providing our patients with an added layer of treatment for TMD.

In her spare time, Dr. Vela enjoys spending time with her family in South Texas and traveling to Colorado to ski and hike. She also enjoys learning new things in dentistry and is very excited to join our team here at and get to know all of you.
